Position Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Officer Shortage & Damage Claims with 35 years of experience in the US pharmaceutical industry. The candidate will be responsible for reviewing, validating, and processing shortage and damage claims while ensuring compliance with customer agreements, company policies, and regulatory requirements. The role requires solid analytical skills, ERP knowledge, and experience handling pharmaceutical distribution claims.

Key Responsibilities

- Review and validate shortage and damage claims submitted by customers, distributors, wholesalers, and channel partners.
- Verify claim accuracy using shipping documents, Proof of Delivery (POD), invoices, warehouse records, purchase orders, and supporting documentation.
- Ensure claims comply with company policies, customer agreements, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
- Process approved claims within defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Coordinate with Warehouse, Customer Service, Logistics, Finance, and Sales teams to resolve claim discrepancies.




- Investigate root causes of shortages and damages and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate claim records, documentation, and audit trails.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports on claim volumes, aging, trends, and resolution status.
- Support internal and external audits by providing claim-related documentation.
- Identify process improvement opportunities to reduce claim cycle time and improve operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, Pharmacy, or a related discipline.
- 35 years of experience in US Pharmaceutical Shortage & Damage Claims .
- Experience in pharmaceutical distribution, commercial operations, or order-to-cash processes.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of US pharmaceutical distribution processes and shortage/damage claim validation.
- Experience with SAP ERP and Microsoft Excel (Advanced Excel preferred).
