Head of Field Operations & Asset Protection Department-Asset Assurance & Recovery (AAR) Location: Gurgaon (on-site) Team: 60+ field executives, pan-India Reports to: Head of AAR The mandate Indofast runs one of India’s largest distributed battery-swapping networks — 150K+ battery packs, 80K+ drivers, 1,400+ stations. Every asset that goes idle, untraceable, or unrecovered is a direct hit to the P&L.; This role owns the field engine that protects it.
This is not a back-office role and it is not a pure enforcement role. It is a field-operations leadership position with a hard financial mandate: keep net asset loss under control while running a large ground team and using data to continuously sharpen how recovery actually happens on the ground. What you’ll own Lead the field engine — run pan-India (North & South) central and field recovery teams; own daily throughput, coverage, and productivity of 60+ frontline executives.
Turn data into strategy — analyse recovery, idle-asset, and traceability data to redesign SOPs, re-segment risk, and launch initiatives that move the loss number. This is a core part of the job, not a side task. Rapid-response for high-risk assets — run an emergency response capability to secure at-risk assets before they’re lost.
Reconciliation & audit — ensure recovered assets are correctly reconciled in-system; run regular audits across storage locations. Cross-functional SOP ownership — build and align recovery SOPs with Sales/BD, Ops, Product/Tech, Finance, and Legal. Escalation & agency management — own the resolution path for stolen/impounded assets, including FIR coordination and liaison with local authorities.
This is handled through defined SOPs and liaisoning agencies; the role effectively manages these agencies to drive outcomes. The nature of the role A legal & authority dimension. A share of high-value recovery involves stolen or impounded assets — meaning FIRs and coordination with local authorities.
This is handled through defined SOPs and liaisoning agencies; the role drives the strategy and manages the agencies, rather than negotiating solo on the ground. A dynamic, on-ground environment. Assets are distributed and often outside direct control.
This role suits someone energised by solving problems on the ground and building order out of a quick-moving operation. Where this role takes you Asset Assurance is a financial-protection function, and this seat builds a rare, high-leverage skill set: running field operations at scale, protecting a P&L; line, and designing data-led operating systems. Path to broader ownership within Asset Assurance & Recovery as the function scales.
Skills are directly transferable into large-scale field operations, last-mile logistics, supply-chain, and fintech field-collections strategy roles. Who we’re looking for 5+ years leading large ground/field operations teams (direct or dotted-line management of 50+ frontline staff). Genuinely enjoys solving problems inside operational chaos — bias to be connected to the ground, not just on dashboards. Strong data fluency — uses data to change strategy, not just report it.
Advanced
