Position: Senior Legal Manager

Location: Mumbai

Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced and strategic legal leader to manage the organization's legal, contractual, regulatory, and litigation functions. The role requires strong expertise in contract negotiations, legal risk management, litigation oversight, and team leadership while partnering closely with business, finance, technology, cybersecurity, and senior management teams. The incumbent will play a key role in driving legal excellence, strengthening governance frameworks, and enabling business growth through pragmatic legal solutions.

What You'd Do?

i. Litigation Management

- Lead and oversee all litigation matters across various forums, including NCLT, Recovery Suits before Civil Courts, Criminal Matters, Cheque Bounce Cases, High Courts, and Supreme Court filings.
- Brief senior management and external counsels on litigation strategy, risk exposure, and case progress.
- Ensure accurate documentation, timely filings, and effective coordination with external counsels.
- Develop litigation strategies and proactively manage dispute resolution to minimize legal and business risks.

ii. Contract Drafting and Negotiation

- Independently draft, negotiate, review, and finalize a wide range of commercial, technology, software, vendor, customer, partnership, and enterprise agreements.
- Provide practical and business-oriented legal advice while ensuring contractual safeguards and compliance requirements are met.
- Drive efficient contract lifecycle management with a focus on turnaround time and process optimization.

iii. Stakeholder Collaboration

- Partner closely with Sales, Finance, Customer Support, Cybersecurity, Product, Procurement,



and Leadership teams to support business objectives.
- Act as a trusted legal advisor to senior stakeholders on complex commercial and strategic transactions.
- Facilitate alignment between legal requirements and business priorities while maintaining compliance standards.

iv. Legal Risk Management

- Identify, assess, and mitigate legal, regulatory, and commercial risks across business operations.
- Ensure all necessary approvals, governance protocols, and compliance requirements are met prior to contract execution.
- Develop and implement legal risk management frameworks and best practices.

v. Legal Support

- Provide legal support for RFPs, customer negotiations, strategic partnerships, and key business initiatives.
- Address legal queries from internal stakeholders and provide timely legal opinions and recommendations.
- Support regulatory compliance initiatives and assist in managing interactions with regulatory authorities when required.

vi. Team Leadership and Mentoring

- Lead, mentor, and develop the legal team, ensuring effective delegation, performance management, and capability building.
- Establish operational processes, KPIs, and governance mechanisms to enhance team efficiency and legal service delivery.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the legal function.

vii. Strategic Legal Leadership





- Partner with senior leadership on business expansion initiatives, strategic projects, and organizational risk management.
- Drive legal process automation, contract management improvements, and operational excellence initiatives.
- Stay updated on legal and regulatory developments relevant to the technology, digital communications, and enterprise software sectors.

What You'd Have? i. Education

- Law Graduate (LLB) from an accredited law school. Additional qualifications such as LLM or Company Secretary will be an added advantage.

ii. Experience

- 1418 years of relevant experience as an in-house counsel, preferably within software, technology, SaaS, CPaaS, telecom, digital platforms, or BFSI organizations.
- Demonstrated experience managing legal teams and leading complex commercial and litigation matters.

iii. Expertise

- Strong expertise in drafting and negotiating software, technology, SaaS, IT, enterprise, and commercial contracts.
- Extensive experience in litigation management, legal risk assessment, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder management.
- Proven track record of building and leading high-performing legal teams.

iv. Essential Skills
