- Contribute across all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
- Build scalable backend services using Java / Java EE technologies
- Develop APIs for UPI integrations (e.g., PSP, TPAP, bank integrations, NPCI switch connectivity)
- Write clean, efficient, and testable code following best practices
- Perform code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization
- Ensure applications comply with UPI/NPCI guidelines, security, and regulatory standards
- Work on real-time transaction processing systems with strong focus on reliability and latency
- Prepare and manage releases of software components
- Convert business requirements into technical solutions
- Support continuous improvement through research of new technologies and tools
- Participate in architecture discussions and design reviews
- Maintain test environments and implement unit/integration testing
- Identify system bottlenecks and optimize performance
- Create technical documentation, user guides, and training materials
Preferred candidate profile
- Bachelors degree in computer science / IT / Electronics or equivalent
- 6-8 years of experience in Java backend development
- Solid expertise in
- Core Java, Collections Framework
- OOPS concepts and design patterns
- Java EE (JSP, Servlets)
- Experience with frameworks like
- Spring / Spring Boot (preferred) or Struts
- Hands-on experience in:
- RESTful APIs / Web Services (SOAP & REST)
- XML and JSON processing
- Database knowledge
- MySQL / PostgreSQL
- ORM frameworks like Hibernate / JPA
- Experience with application servers like Apache Tomcat
- Strong understanding of multithreading and concurrency (important for UPI systems)
- Experience with unit testing frameworks like JUnit
UPI / Payments Domain Expertise (Mandatory or Strongly Preferred)
- Hands-on experience with UPI integrations (PSP/TPAP/Banks)
- Understanding of NPCI specifications and UPI architecture
