Astek Middle East is hiring a highly experienced Senior IT Infrastructure Manager for a major public-sector digital transformation program in the UAE .

This opportunity is specifically open to experienced professionals who are willing to relocate to the UAE . The role is based in Fujairah.

The successful candidate will take a senior leadership role in managing and modernizing a large-scale IT infrastructure workplace supporting critical digital services. The position combines infrastructure strategy, operational leadership, team management, cloud and data center technologies, cybersecurity, business continuity, and enterprise transformation .

The role requires someone who can operate at both a strategic and technical leadership level , ensuring infrastructure availability, resilience, security, scalability, and continuous modernization.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the strategy, planning, implementation, operation, and continuous improvement of enterprise IT infrastructure.
- Manage servers, storage, virtualization, enterprise networks, cloud/hybrid environments, and data center operations.
- Ensure high availability, reliability, security, scalability, and performance of critical infrastructure services.
- Lead major infrastructure modernization and transformation projects from planning through implementation and post-deployment support.
- Oversee Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft 365, Azure, VMware/Hyper-V, DNS, and DHCP environments.
- Manage enterprise backup, disaster recovery, business continuity, and infrastructure resilience.
- Oversee firewalls, VPNs, network switches, wireless infrastructure, and perimeter security.
- Lead and mentor infrastructure engineers and technical support teams.
- Manage vendors, contractors, MSPs, contracts, procurement,



and SLA performance.
- Own infrastructure budgeting, capacity planning, procurement specifications, and technical evaluations.
- Work closely with cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance with security policies, governance frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide senior technical leadership during critical incidents and disaster recovery events.
- Develop infrastructure roadmaps and recommend technologies that improve operational efficiency and digital service delivery.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
- 15–17+ years of progressive IT infrastructure experience.
- Significant experience in an IT Infrastructure Manager, Senior IT Manager, Head of Infrastructure, IT Operations Manager , or equivalent leadership capacity.
- Strong experience managing enterprise-scale and preferably multi-site infrastructure environments .
- Proven people-management and technical-team leadership experience.
- Strong hands-on/technical understanding of Windows Server, Linux, VMware/Hyper-V, Active Directory, Microsoft 365 and Azure/hybrid cloud .
- Strong enterprise networking knowledge covering Cisco/Aruba/Fortinet, firewalls, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP.
- Proven experience with backup, disaster recovery and business continuity .
- Strong ownership of IT budgets, procurement, vendor/MSP management, contracts and SLAs .
- Proven experience delivering major infrastructure transformation and modernization projects.
- ITIL knowledge and strong understanding of IT governance and cybersecurity requirements.
- Certifications such as Azure Administrator, VCP, CCNP, ITIL, CISSP or Fortinet are highly desirable.
- Must currently be willing to relocate to the UAE. Visa sponsored and relocation support provided.
