Job Summary The role is responsible for the end-to-end execution of core finance operations, including preparation of monthly financial statements with supporting schedules and detailed reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of books. It involves creating and tracking expense provisions in line with the accrual concept, maintaining and regularly updating the Fixed Asset Register with appropriate classification and depreciation accounting, and managing the billing process to ensure timely and accurate invoicing. The role also includes processing payroll with a high degree of accuracy, addressing employee queries related to payroll and reimbursements, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
Additionally, the position requires active coordination with external stakeholders such as auditors and bankers by providing required information, supporting audits, and facilitating smooth financial and compliance-related interactions.
Principal Duties And
Responsibilities 40% Corporate Finance and Accounting Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L;, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow as applicable) Compile supporting schedules and working papers for all line items Perform variance analysis against budget/forecast/prior periods Ensure timely closure of books as per the monthly close calendar Coordinate with relevant teams to obtain necessary inputs and clarifications Perform balance sheet reconciliations (bank, vendor, intercompany, accruals, etc.)
Maintain reconciliation trackers with proper ageing and status updates Ensure all reconciliations are adequately supported and audit-ready Periodically review and validate opening and closing balances Identify expenses to be accrued based on services received but not invoiced Prepare and record monthly provisions in line with accrual accounting principles Update the FAR for all asset additions, disposals, and transfers Reconcile FAR with general ledger balances periodically Calculate and record depreciation as per applicable accounting policies Raise invoices accurately and in a timely manner as per contractual terms 40% Payroll Processing & Handle Queries Process monthly payroll ensuring accuracy of salaries, deductions, and statutory components Validate payroll inputs including new joiners, exits, variable pay, and reimbursements Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (PF, ESI, TDS, etc.) Coordinate with HR for employee data and inputs Perform payroll reconciliations and maintain records Respond to employee queries related to payroll, deductions Investigate discrepancies and provide timely resolutions Maintain query logs and track resolution timelines Ensure clear communication and employee satisfaction 20% Liaising with External Stakeholders (Auditors/Bankers) Provide required data and schedules to auditors during statutory/internal audits Respond to audit queries and support timely closure of audit observations Coordinate with bankers for account operations, documentation, and compliance Prepare and submit financial information required by external parties Ensure all interactions are documented and aligned with governance requirements Other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Requires working knowledge and analytical abilities to determine business needs and provide appropriate solutions.
Job Specifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent
Experience: Ten (10) years progressive financial management experience, including financial accounting, tax,
and payroll, or the equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience.
Experience working in financial accounting, management reporting, and supervisory experience.
Location: Employees in this role must be available to commute to an office or otherwise must be in a specific geographic location to perform the functions of the job.
