Reports To: Finance Manager / Regional Finance Lead (ANZ)
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Executive – Finance (ANZ) to support the financial operations of the Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) region. The role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, month-end close activities, reconciliations, compliance with accounting standards, and business partnering with internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate should have strong accounting knowledge, experience with ANZ financial processes, and excellent analytical and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform month-end and year-end closing activities for ANZ entities.
- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and adjustments.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts, bank accounts, and balance sheet accounts.
- Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and management reports.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, Australian accounting standards, and company policies.
- Support Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Fixed Assets accounting.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Prepare and review GST/BAS, FBT, payroll-related reconciliations, and other statutory reporting requirements for ANZ.
- Coordinate with auditors during internal and external audits.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and support finance transformation initiatives.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders across the ANZ region.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, SOX (if applicable), and financial governance policies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Professional qualification such as CA, CPA, ACCA, or CMA (completed or pursuing) is preferred.
- 3–6 years of experience in finance and accounting, preferably supporting ANZ operations.
- Strong understanding of General Ledger, Record-to-Report (R2R), and financial reporting processes.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP,
Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or NetSuite.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
