Job Role

- Be responsible for production support & release management for application assigned - SRE C1 - Elastic Stack : ELK (Grafana, Logstash, Kibana).
- Be responsible for ELK applications platform administration, Production Support, Monitoring, Dashboard Creation, Documentation and Application on boarding effectively.
- Should have monitored ELK Cluster Administration, Node editions, Shared allocation, data ingestion & data archival.
- Participate in incident analysis with appropriate dashboards.
- Should possess excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities

- ELK Platform Administration
- Manage and support Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Grafana and related components
- Monitor ELK cluster health, indexing performance, and storage utilization
- Perform Elasticsearch cluster scaling, shard optimization, and performance tuning
- Support high availability and support switching of configurations.
- Application & Production Support
- Provide L1/L2 support for production applications integrated with ELK
- Troubleshoot log ingestion, parsing, indexing, and search-related issues
- Analyze application/server logs for incident resolution and RCA
- Handle production incidents, problem management, and service requests
- Ensure SLA adherence and operational stability
- Monitoring & Dashboarding
- Develop and maintain Kibana/Grafana dashboards, alerts, and visualizations
- Configure observability and monitoring solutions for applications and infrastructure
- Create proactive alerting for system/application anomalies
- Support SIEM/security monitoring use cases where applicable
- Automation & Integration
- Automate operational tasks using Shell/Python scripts

- Integrate ELK with

- API gateways / Middleware





- Monitoring tools
- Relevant/ Specific applications etc..

- Other Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with DevOps, infrastructure, security, DBA & application teams
- Participate in release management and deployment activities
- Prepare RCA, SOP, KT, and operational documentation
- Support audits, compliance, and governance requirements
- Track resolution of all open issues, be part of the solutioning team for war room / discussions
- Maintaining Monthly MIS of ELK Usage and publishing to the anomalies to the relevant stakeholders.
- Manage audit queries related to Production setting

Mandatory Skills Required

- Must have experience ELK Application Support or application development of overall 3 to 5 yeas with at least 2+ years in managing, monitoring, troubleshooting, and supporting enterprise observability and log management platforms based on the Elastic Stack ecosystem like Elasticsearch, Grafana, Logstash, Kibana, Filebeat etc..
- Must have ELK application Architect, deploy, and optimize ELK clusters for enterprise-wide observability
- Must experience for Ensure log ingestion, parsing, and visualization meet compliance and performance standards.
- Must drive ELK application automation for scaling, resilience, and performance tuning.
- Must have experience & good implementation capabilities of following ELK Process.




- Maintain ELK Infrastructure - Ensure Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana services are up and running with high availability.
- Dashboard Preparation - Design, configure, and maintain Kibana dashboards for monitoring application logs and system metrics.
- Pipeline Management - Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot Logstash pipelines for efficient data ingestion and transformation.
- Log Rotation - Implement and monitor log rotation policies to prevent disk space issues and maintain system performance.
- Archival Process - Define and manage log archival strategies to store historical data securely and cost-effectively.
- Alerting Setup - Configure alerting mechanisms in Kibana/Elasticsearch to notify stakeholders of failures, anomalies, or threshold breaches.
- Performance Tuning - Optimize Elasticsearch queries, indices, and clusters for faster search and reduced resource consumption.
- Security & Access Control - Manage user roles, API keys, and secure access to ELK components in compliance with organizational policies.
- Monitoring & Troubleshooting - Continuously monitor ELK health, identify issues, and perform root cause analysis for failures.
- Documentation & Reporting - Maintain clear documentation of ELK configurations, dashboards, pipelines, and provide regular status reports.
- Application Onboarding- He should have the knowledge of integrating application in to ELK with which dashboard should been shown how alerts should be prepared.
- Ability to work in rotational shifts/on-call support

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Relevant certifications ELK (Elastic Stack) environment are preferred.
