Position: Equity Research Associate

About the Role

We are looking for an Equity Research Associate to support the research team covering one or more of the following sectors: Pharma, Chemicals, Metals, Cement, New Age Businesses, Information Technology (IT), and FMCG . The role offers an excellent opportunity to work closely with senior analysts, develop strong research skills, and contribute to high-quality investment research for institutional clients.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist senior analysts in covering one or more assigned sectors, including Pharma, Chemicals, Metals, Cement, New Age Businesses, IT, or FMCG .
- Conduct company research, industry analysis, and gather relevant financial and market data.
- Build and update financial models, earnings models, and valuation worksheets.
- Prepare earnings summaries, company updates, sector reports, presentations, and investment notes.
- Track quarterly results, corporate announcements, regulatory developments, and industry trends.
- Attend earnings calls, management interactions, and industry conferences, and prepare meeting notes.
- Perform channel checks, peer comparisons, and data analysis to support investment recommendations.




- Maintain research databases and ensure timely updates of financial information.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- 1–3 years of experience in Equity Research or Investment Research.
- Exposure to one or more sectors such as Pharma, Chemicals, Metals, Cement, New Age Businesses, IT, or FMCG is preferred.
- Basic understanding of financial statement analysis, valuation methodologies, and financial modelling.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

- MBA (Finance), CA, CFA (Level I/II), or equivalent qualification.
- Experience with financial databases such as Bloomberg, Capital IQ, Reuters, or similar research platforms.
- Strong interest in capital markets and equity investing.
