Job Summary

We are looking for a highly experienced Digital Marketing Strategist to act as the central driving force for organic growth on a senior international client account: Happiness Squad, a Boulder, Colorado based organizational-flourishing consultancy founded by former McKinsey partner Ashish Kothari. This is a senior role that combines strategy with hands-on execution (roughly 50% strategy, 50% hands-on). You will scale both the clients company brand and the founders personal profile, oversee several channels at once (SEO, YouTube, and podcast), and hold the whole system together with strong synchronisation and quality control across the teams that execute: a video editor, content writers, and web developers.

The mandate is to help scale the clients podcast, The Flourishing Edge, from around 150 downloads per episode to 1,000-plus within 12 months, while driving organic growth across the wider digital presence.

Key Responsibilities

Overarching Digital Strategy

- Drive the organic growth strategy for the business, focused on ranking high-volume keywords, growing the podcast audience, and scaling the YouTube channel

Elevate the founders personal brand

- Elevate the founders personal brand alongside the company brand, making sure original ideas and IP reach the right audience rather than chasing follower counts

Content & Editorial

- Generate new content (articles, infographics, resource pages, pillar content) to expand organic traffic; identify content gaps using Ahrefs and produce briefs for AI-assisted drafting

Speaking Engagements

- Get the founder booked on relevant conferences and speaking stages (6 to 12 per year)

Email and Owned Audience

- Own and grow the email and newsletter audience (around 5,400 warm contacts across Active Campaign and the LinkedIn newsletter)

Lead Generation via Content

- Run a weekly send tied to each podcast episode, and grow the list through lead magnets built around the audiences real problems

Podcast Growth Strategy





- Use guest platforms to spread awareness through personalised guest content kits (a LinkedIn post and video clips from the Video and Social team)

- Follow up with guests to secure distribution on their platforms: reviews, backlinks, social collaboration

- Get the founder booked as a guest on other podcasts, the single most effective growth tactic at this stage (2 to 4 per month)

AI, AEO, and Answer-Engine Authority

- Stay ahead of algorithm changes and build the brands presence and citations across high-authority platforms (LinkedIn, Medium, Reddit, Quora) using proper canonical syndication so the website remains the primary source

- Position the brand to be recognised and cited by AI-driven search and large language models

Cross-Team Synchronisation and Process

- Establish transparent SOPs and manual quality gates so every asset, across Apple Podcasts, YouTube, blogs, and social, stays tightly in sync

- Own the single source of truth for each core content piece: one keyword and master title per episode, referenced correctly across every medium

- Coordinate with the SEO team on site speed, crawlability, schema markup, transcript embedding, and site structure

Quality Assurance, Analytics, and Team Leadership

- Set up manual and AI-assisted checks so execution teams do not miss critical elements before anything goes live

- Coordinate and set quality benchmarks across content writers, video editors, and web developers

- Define the measurement framework (reach, audience, engagement, search, demand), report clearly, and re-forecast as real data arrives

- Weekly tracking: downloads per episode,



YouTube views/subscribers/Shorts performance, LinkedIn engagement, blog traffic, and keyword rankings

- Monthly growth report: trend analysis, wins and misses, and recommendations against the 12-month milestone tracker (150 to 1,000 downloads per episode)

Required Skills

- 8 to 10+ years of senior digital marketing experience with a clear track record of driving organic growth strategy

- Extensive, proven experience in personal branding and building thought-leadership profiles

- Deep understanding of the shifting SEO and AEO landscape, and how large language models and AI search assess digital authority

- Strong leadership: able to coordinate, synchronise, and set quality benchmarks across cross-functional teams
- A record of designing SOPs and quality-gate processes that teams actually follow

- Solid understanding of podcast and YouTube growth

- Email marketing and newsletter growth experience (e.g.

Active

Campaign)

- Experience using AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, or similar) in content workflows

- Highly organised: comfortable running a guest tracker, a guesting pipeline, an SEO task list, and community presence simultaneously

- Excellent English communication; comfortable working with a United States based client

Preferred Skills

- Experience with founder-led, B2B, or wellbeing and leadership brands

- Hands-on familiarity with SEO tools (Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console) and YouTube analytics

- Comfort with cold outreach and relationship-building over email

- Experience coordinating with clients across United States time zones

- Familiarity with podcast platforms such as Captivate, Apple Podcasts, and Spotify
