Role Description The Senior Design Engineer – Fire Protection / Fire Fighting will lead the design and engineering of fire protection and fire detection systems, including hydrant, sprinkler, gas suppression, passive fire protection, and specialized systems. This full time, on-site role based in the Pune Division involves preparing detailed system designs, hydraulic calculations, equipment selection, and layout drawings in alignment with relevant codes and standards. The role includes reviewing client requirements, performing site assessments, coordinating with project, procurement, and installation teams, and providing technical support during execution, testing, and commissioning.

The Senior Design

Engineer will liaise with authorities, consultants, and clients to support approvals,



compliance documentation, and certification processes. The position also involves mentoring junior engineers, ensuring quality control in design deliverables, and contributing to continuous improvement of design methodologies and standards.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong fire protection and firefighting design skills, including system configuration, hydraulic calculations, and familiarity with hydrant, sprinkler, gas suppression, foam, and detection systems.

Candidates should possess knowledge of relevant codes and standards such as NBC, IS standards, NFPA, and other national and international fire safety regulations.

Candidates should possess proficiency in design and drafting tools, such as AutoCAD and related engineering software used for fire protection layouts and calculations.

Candidates should possess project coordination and documentation skills, including preparation of technical specifications, BOQs, drawings, and compliance reports.

Candidates should possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to work effectively with internal teams, clients, and authorities.

Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical, Fire, or related Engineering discipline; professional certifications in fire protection engineering or safety will be beneficial.

Relevant experience in fire protection design, preferably in commercial, industrial, or specialized sectors, with prior exposure to government or regulatory liaison work.

Ability to work on-site in the Pune Division, manage multiple projects, adhere to timelines, and maintain a high standard of safety and quality.
