Role Description The Senior Data Engineering Manager will lead the design, development, and maintenance of data platforms and pipelines that support business intelligence, analytics, and operational reporting for immigration and visa consulting services. This full-time, on-site role is based in Abroad and involves overseeing data engineering teams, setting technical direction, and ensuring scalable, secure, and reliable data solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing data integration from multiple internal and external systems, collaborating with product, operations, and consulting teams to understand data requirements, and implementing best practices for data quality and governance.

The Senior Data Engineering

Manager will review and guide software development work related to data applications, manage project timelines and resources, and mentor team members to improve their technical and collaboration skills. The role also includes identifying opportunities to use data to optimize processes, improve client experience, and support strategic decision-making across the organization.

Qualifications

Strong Engineering Management skills with experience leading data or software engineering teams and defining technical roadmaps.

Proven Team Leadership capabilities,



including mentoring, performance management, and fostering a collaborative, inclusive environment.

Hands-on Software Development experience in data engineering stacks (e.g., Python, SQL, ETL tools, cloud data platforms) and building production-grade systems.

Demonstrated Project Management skills for planning, prioritizing, and delivering complex data initiatives on time and within scope.

Experience with Integration of data from multiple systems, APIs, and third-party platforms into unified, well-structured data models.

Advanced knowledge of data architecture, data warehousing, and ETL/ELT pipelines; familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical data solutions.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Experience in consulting, qualified services, or the immigration/visa domain is an advantage.
