Key Responsibilities

Commercial Management

- Conduct cost analysis and benchmarking for various construction packages.

- Support project budgeting and cost planning exercises.

- Monitor contract values and budget utilization.

- Evaluate rate analysis for extra items and deviations.

- Monitor contractor performance against contractual obligations.

- Maintain contract records, correspondence, and documentation.

Change Orders &

- Variation Management

- Review and approve variation orders and scope changes.

- Assess commercial implications of design changes.

- Negotiate rates for additional and substituted works.

- Maintain records of all contractual variations and amendments.

Claims &

- Dispute Resolution

- Evaluate contractor claims related to delays, escalation, and additional costs.

- Prepare contractual responses and notices.

- Assist management in dispute resolution, arbitration, and settlement negotiations.

- Minimize commercial exposure and contractual risks.

Cost Optimization

- Identify value engineering opportunities during tendering and execution stages.

- Support procurement initiatives for cost reduction.

- Develop alternate sourcing and contracting strategies to improve project profitability.

Risk Management &

- Compliance

- Identify contractual risks and develop mitigation plans.

- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and company governance policies.





- Monitor contractual obligations, warranties, guarantees, and insurance requirements.

Stakeholder Coordination

- Liaise with consultants, contractors, project managers, architects, legal teams, and senior management.

- Participate in project review meetings and commercial discussions.

- Provide contractual advice to project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
