IDfy — International Markets (Philippines · UAE · Saudi Arabia) · Senior Individual Contributor · Mumbai
Role Brief:
This role is central to the success of both IDfy and our clients. As a Strategic Client Partner, you will be instrumental in driving business transformation and acting as a strategic consultant to help clients achieve their business goals. Key pillars of this role include maintaining strong client engagement, and driving robust Gross Revenue Retention (GRR) and Net Revenue Retention (NRR).
IDfy's identity verification platform sits at the heart of how banks, fintechs, and enterprises onboard customers across Asia and the Middle East. As a Strategic Client Partner, you will own a portfolio of international enterprise accounts — bringing analytical rigour, commercial acumen, and executive-level advisory skills to drive measurable client outcomes and long-term revenue growth.
This is not a traditional account management role. We are signaling a strategic shift away from an API-focused model towards a comprehensive "platform play." You will be expected to independently analyse client consumption data, identify performance gaps and opportunities, and translate those insights into strategic recommendations that drive product adoption and influence IDfy's product roadmap. You will be the primary commercial and strategic interface for your clients — responsible for adoption, retention, and expansion.
What you will do-
- Own the client relationship end-to-end — from onboarding goal-setting through renewal and expansion. You are the primary executive contact for your portfolio and accountable for commercial outcomes.
- Translate data into client strategy — independently analyse verification funnel metrics, document pass rates, consumption patterns, and fraud signals to identify gaps, surface opportunities,
and deliver insights that clients act on.
- Lead high-impact business reviews — design and deliver QBRs and EBRs that go beyond reporting to drive strategic decisions, ROI demonstration, and commercial next steps with C-suite and VP-level stakeholders.
- Drive expansion through consultative positioning — proactively identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities using client data, regulatory context, and product signals; build and close the business case independently.
- Define and track client success metrics — set measurable goals with clients at onboarding, track progress against those goals, and intervene early when accounts show risk signals.
- Manage escalations with commercial composure — resolve complex client issues across technical, operational, and commercial dimensions while protecting long-term account value.
- Influence product and GTM strategy — act as the Voice of Customer, translating client insights and market intelligence into actionable inputs for Product, Engineering, and Leadership.
You will be a perfect match if you have-
- 5–8 years of experience in client-facing roles — enterprise account management, customer success, or client advisory — with direct ownership of commercial outcomes (renewal, expansion, retention).
- Strong analytical capability — ability to independently work with data (dashboards, BI tools preferred), identify patterns and anomalies,
and translate findings into client-ready recommendations. You are comfortable with numbers and use data as the foundation of every client conversation.
- Consulting-grade communication — clear, structured, and confident written and verbal communication. You can present a complex data story to a CFO and make it feel simple.
- Commercial acumen — proven track record of growing accounts through upsell and cross-sell; comfortable owning renewal negotiations and building business cases independently.
- Escalation ownership — experienced managing high-stakes client situations calmly, without escalating to leadership unless necessary.
- International market awareness — experience managing clients across geographies, with preference for exposure to Southeast Asia (Philippines, Malaysia) or the Middle East (UAE, Saudi Arabia).
- SaaS, fintech, management consulting or B2B technology experience preferred — familiarity with API-led products, platforms, regulated industries, or identity/compliance use cases is a strong plus.
- MBA from Premium Institute (Preferred)
Data Skills — What "Robust Analytical Capability" Means Here
- You can open a dashboard and immediately identify what's wrong, what's improving, and what needs a conversation — without being told where to look.
- You can build a client-facing data narrative from raw metrics — structuring the story, choosing the right visualisations, and connecting data points to business outcomes.
- You can independently run analysis in Excel, BI tools to answer a question before your next client call — you don't wait for a data team to pull it for you.
- You can design and track client KPI frameworks — defining what success looks like in measurable terms and holding both sides accountable to it.
