Assignment Details

Our client, a global leader in Energy Management and Automation, is seeking an Independent Senior BI Developer, which involves Data warehousing, ETL development(Informatica), Data modelling, Reports/dashboard development, and working in global teams and supporting a global cross-functional environment, partnering with internal customers to help, support, and enhance business systems.

Essential Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

1. Delivery of enhancement requests and other operational activities of the project
2. Up-to-date communication to stakeholders using JIRA as a medium.
3. Participate in Replenishment calls with stakeholders to clarify blockers and agree on deliveries
4. Train and mentor team members and management to understand technologies
5. Track and follow up on the action items
6. Ensure all requests are addressed in a timely manner with optimal solutions
7. Simplify – use every opportunity to simplify to the maximum extent possible and go the extra mile in doing so
8. Collaborate with internal teams to address business needs
9. Assume personal responsibility for achieving defined outcomes
10. Effectively plan & organize work to deliver consistent results

Note: Duration- 3 months (Extendable)

Location- Remote; Occasional travel to Bangalore (Avinya), if required

Skills Required

Qualifications & Certifications:

1. Engineering Graduate or Master of Computer Applications (MCA)
2.



Certified in one or more of the following is an advantage – Informatica - DI, Sql/PSql

Experience:

1. 5-8 years of BI experience
2. 5+ years of experience on Informatica, SQL (minimum 2 years of experience on each of the tools mentioned)
3. Must have worked on at least 2 complete life cycle implementations of BI projects

General
1. Experience in any service industry where Oracle BI is extensively used for their global

customers with a robust customer-centric focus.
1. Total experience of 5-8 years, with excellent communication, coordination, and team leadership skills.
2. Prior experience in handling E2E Product Operations Lifecycle (Ex: ETL/Report, Incident

management/Bug-Fix) and E2E Product Engineering lifecycle (ex: Enhancements and Projects with release life cycle experience)
1. Ability to evaluate technology solution options for business requirements
2. Should be able to identify opportunities for automation and implement the same to bring in

efficiencies

Informatica
1. Strong experience in design, development, and testing of Informatica-based applications
2. Transformations like Lookup, sorter, Expression, router , update strategy , filter.
3. Experience in Extraction, Transformation, Loading (ETL) data from various sources into Data Warehouses and Data Marts using Informatica Power Center (Designer, Workflow Manager, Workflow Monitor).
4. Hands-on experience in tuning mappings, identifying, and resolving performance bottlenecks at various levels like sources, targets, mappings, and sessions.
5. Expert in using mapping Parameters, Mapping Variables, testing, and fixing the issues in

Mapping.
1. Understand complex transformations such as mapplet, worklet, normalizer, and custom

transformations.
1. Experience in Extract/Load/Transform (ETL)workflows (Informatica PowerCenter)

Knowledge of Informatica Cloud services is an advantage. Should have Strong knowledge of Oracle database, PL/SQL development, and UNIX scripting.
1. Strong knowledge of generic database procedures using PL/SQL Libraries to handle data

manipulation and computations of business logic
1. Scheduling Execution of PL/SQL Procedures in the database & created Materialized views to calculate aggregated data.
