THE MISSION We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to scale our data ingestion and SERP analysis pipelines. You will own the core infrastructure that powers our GenerativeSEO engine and handle Petabyte-scale data processing.
Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain distributed backend systems for large-scale data processing.
Optimize and scale existing Node.js/TypeScript backend services.
Work with PostgreSQL, Redis, and large datasets for query performance and cost optimization.
Implement monitoring, alerting, and automated recovery systems for mission-critical services.
Mentor junior engineers and drive best practices in backend development and system architecture.
Requirements 5+ years of professional experience in backend development with Node.js and TypeScript.
Expertise in building scalable, distributed systems and microservices architecture.
Solid understanding of database systems, with deep experience in PostgreSQL performance tuning and optimization.
Proficiency with caching mechanisms (Redis) and message queues for high-throughput data processing.
Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with complex, large-scale datasets.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working in a remote-first team.
