Job Title: Senior Azure APIM Engineer

Location: PAN India

Experience: 6 to 9 Years

We are looking for an experienced Senior Azure APIM Engineer with 6 to 9 years of overall IT experience and solid expertise in Azure API Management, API integration, and Azure cloud services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, configuring, securing, deploying, and supporting enterprise APIs while ensuring high availability, security, and performance. The role also involves API governance, CI/CD implementation, production support, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, configure, deploy, and support APIs using Azure API Management (APIM).

Configure APIM policies for authentication, authorization, routing, transformation, rate limiting, logging, caching, and error handling.

Contribute to enterprise API architecture, governance standards, and best practices.

Support migration of APIs from MuleSoft to Azure API Management.

Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.

Perform code reviews, API configuration reviews, and APIM policy reviews.

Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and support to development teams.

Configure API monitoring, logging, dashboards, and alerts using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, or ELK.

Troubleshoot API, network, security, performance, and production-related issues.





Support SIT, UAT, production deployments, and post-release validation activities.

Prepare technical design documents, deployment guides, support runbooks, and knowledge base articles.

Handle Incident, Problem, Change, and Release Management activities.

Collaborate with architects, delivery leads, Scrum Masters, DevOps, infrastructure, security, and application teams.

Identify opportunities for automation, optimization, and continuous improvement.

Mandatory Technical Skills

Strong hands-on experience with Azure API Management (APIM).

Good knowledge of Microsoft Azure services.

Strong understanding of REST APIs, HTTP/HTTPS, JSON, XML, and OpenAPI specifications.

Experience with APIM policies, products, subscriptions, backends, API versions, and revisions.

Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), JWT, API Keys, certificates, and Mutual TLS (mTLS).

Experience with Managed Identities and Azure Key Vault.

Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions for CI/CD.

Experience with Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics.

Good understanding of API security, performance optimization, availability, monitoring, and operational support.

Experience with Git and standard code review practices.
