Business Function The Global Financial Markets (GFM) group carries out trading business and offers investment products to regional customers of both Consumer Banking Group and Institutional Banking Group. GFM is an important Business Unit for driving the bank’s growth strategy. This position provides operational support to the Global Financial Markets business and assist both internal and external customers on enquiries.

This position provides operational support to the Global Financial Markets business and assist both internal and external customers on enquiries.

Principal Responsibilities

Provide operational support for all Global Financial Markets business/products including FX, Fixed Income, Derivatives and Structured Deposits. Work closely with Regional Processing Center and GFM Business Units to resolve issues with the objective of improving the end-to-end processes and customers journey. Construct high-valued SWIFT Messages for settlements.

Liaise with customers on trade confirmations and payment instructions.



Prepare and compile regulatory reports. Participate in system and process enhancement projects, the launch of new products and services, and data projects leading to the data-driven operating model.

Key Accountabilities

Accurate and efficient on carrying out the routine operational tasks. Fully comply with regulatory requirements, internal policies and Standard Operating Procedure policy. Escalate for any deviation. Provide high quality and timely services to both internal / external customers.

Relevant Experience

More than 5 years of relevant working experience preferably in the Global Financial Markets operations environment or with finance background familiarised with regulatory reporting.

Functional / Technical Competencies

Knowledge of treasury products

Knowledge of SWIFT Messages, relevant standards and market practices

Familiar with PC applications, technology and have a data-driven mindset

Education and Professional Qualification

University graduate

Fluent in English and Cantonese

Is a quick learner and flexible for changes

Customer-oriented and able to manage tasks under pressure

With strong self-motivation and be able to work independently
