Role Description The Senior Architect – B. Arch at SMARTANK will be a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai, responsible for leading architectural design projects from concept through completion. The role involves developing design proposals, preparing detailed drawings and plans, ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations, and collaborating with clients to understand functional and aesthetic requirements.

The Senior

Architect will coordinate with engineering, construction, and project management teams to ensure timely and quality delivery of projects. Daily tasks include reviewing designs, overseeing integration of structural and MEP elements, managing documentation, and guiding junior team members.



The role also requires participation in design reviews, site visits, and continuous alignment of project outcomes with client expectations and SMARTANK’s quality standards.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Architecture and Architectural Design for planning, conceptualization, and detailing of projects.
- Candidates should possess competencies in Project Management for scheduling, coordination, stakeholder communication, and risk management.
- Candidates should possess abilities in Integration to align architectural designs with structural, MEP, and other technical systems.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with Software Development concepts as they relate to architectural tools, BIM, and digital workflows.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (B. Arch) from an accredited institution; professional licensure or registration is preferred.
- Relevant experience in leading mid- to large-scale architectural projects, ideally in commercial, residential, or mixed-use developments.
- Proficiency in CAD/BIM software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp) and visualization tools; strong technical drawing and documentation skills.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to mentor junior team members.
- Strong understanding of local building codes, regulations, sustainability principles, and contemporary design trends.
