Job DescriptionJOB SUMMARY (Primary Purpose Of The Position) This is a Senior Application Engineer position responsible for the implementation, support, and optimization of Commure/PatientKeeper, MEDITECH Magic, and MEDITECH Expanse EHR integrations across approximately 170 HCA hospitals. This role will have a dotted-line reporting relationship to the ITG Manager of EHR Integrations and will collaborate with multiple team members.

Key Functions Of The Role Review

Product Work Requests to create or modify integrations, actively engaging in the review of functionality and future enhancements.

Monitor integrations across all EHRs using the Scooter monitoring tool.

Review, escalate, and resolve issues reported by internal teams and hospital staff.

Develop and maintain a strong understanding of HL7, FHIR, APIs, and their implementation.

Provide hands-on technical leadership for the analysis, implementation, and support of MEDITECH interfaces for Commure PatientKeeper, MEDITECH Magic, and MEDITECH Expanse utilizing HL7/XML standards.

General Responsibilities

Lead the analysis, implementation, and support of solutions that meet Promoting Interoperability regulatory requirements.

Work independently and collaboratively with project teams to define requirements, design functional solutions, identify and resolve issues, and ensure IT solutions meet business objectives.

Author and analyze MEDITECH Product Work Requests, ensuring specifications are clearly documented and submitted.

Build and maintain positive relationships with business operations, IT&S; leadership, and vendors.

Provide training to junior team members regarding interface functionality.

Provide routine support and maintenance for interfaces and integrations.

Identify and resolve problems and issues.

Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.

Follow established change management processes.

Document solutions and best-practice guidelines while maintaining documentation as products evolve.





Utilize HCA monitoring and alerting tools to evaluate interface status, identify trends, and recommend improvements to integration stability and connectivity.

Experience with the MEDITECH Magic NMI module and/or clinical applications.

Experience with MEDITECH Expanse API-based integrations.

Experience with Active Directory, Scooter, MEDITECH NPR & M-AT, Citrix Technologies, and Cloverleaf.

Experience with interface monitoring and alerting tools.
