KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Custom Analog, RF &

- Power IC Layout

- Develop and implement custom layouts for analog, RF, and power management circuit blocks including op-amps, comparators, references, oscillators, LDOs, charge pumps, high-voltage regulators, and DC-DC converter circuits.

- Create layouts for performance-critical analog, RF, and mixed-signal blocks while meeting area, matching, noise, reliability, and manufacturability requirements.

- Perform device matching, common-centroid placement, shielding, guard rings, substrate isolation, and parasitic optimization.

- Work closely with circuit designers to optimize layout for performance, yield, and silicon success.

ADC &

- DAC Layout

- Implement custom layouts for high-performance ADCs (SAR, Pipeline, Sigma-Delta, Flash) and DACs (R-2R, Current-Steering, Delta-Sigma).

- Optimize converter layouts for matching, linearity, noise isolation, and high-speed performance.

- Minimize parasitic effects impacting ENOB, SNR, SFDR, THD, INL/DNL, and overall converter accuracy.

Verification &

- Tape-Out

- Perform DRC, LVS, ERC, and parasitic extraction (PEX)



using Calibre or equivalent verification tools.

- Resolve physical verification issues and collaborate with circuit designers on post-layout optimization.

- Support floorplanning, chip integration, cross-hierarchy verification, and final tape-out activities.

- Ensure layouts comply with foundry design rules and reliability requirements.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Experience

- 5–8+ years of hands-on custom analog/mixed-signal/RF IC layout experience.

- Proven experience with complete custom layout development through successful tape-outs.

- Experience with RF, PMIC, ADC/DAC, and mixed-signal layouts in advanced CMOS technologies.

- Strong understanding of matching techniques, parasitic extraction, electromigration (EM), IR drop, ESD, latch-up, and reliability considerations.

- Experience working closely with analog/RF design engineers throughout the physical implementation process.

Tools &

- Environment

- Expertise in

Cadence Virtuoso Layout XL

(or equivalent custom layout environment).

- Solid experience with

Calibre DRC/LVS/ERC/PEX

.

- Familiarity with Cadence SKILL scripting is a plus.

- Experience in UNIX/Linux design environments.

- Ability to mentor junior layout engineers and participate in layout reviews.

- Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
