About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced finance professional to manage accounting, financial reporting, taxation, compliance, and finance operations for an Indian subsidiary of a multinational company based in Gurgaon. You'll work closely with local management and overseas stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance, and efficient finance operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Manage end-to-end accounting and bookkeeping per Indian Accounting Standards
- Ensure timely recording of transactions, journal entries, accruals, and month-end closing
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and resolve outstanding items
- Coordinate with auditors during statutory and internal audits
- Maintain proper accounting records and documentation
Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Review and process vendor invoices and employee reimbursements
- Monitor customer collections and receivables ageing
- Ensure proper accounting of import purchases, freight, customs duty, and inventory
- Coordinate banking operations (payments, inward remittances, reconciliations)
Taxation & Regulatory Compliance
- Oversee GST compliance (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, annual returns, reconciliations, audits)
- Ensure timely TDS deduction, deposit, and return filing
- Support income tax assessments and regulatory filings
- Coordinate FEMA and RBI compliances for imports and foreign remittances
- Maintain compliance calendars and timelines
Import & Inventory Accounting
- Account for imports, customs duty, freight, clearing charges
- Monitor landed cost computations and inventory valuation
- Reconcile imports and inventory records with logistics teams
Payroll & Employee Compliance
- Coordinate payroll inputs and review payroll processing
- Ensure compliance with PF, ESI, Professional Tax, and Labour Laws
Required Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) preferred; CA Inter / CMA / MBA (Finance) with relevant experience also considered
- 23 years of accounting, taxation, and financial reporting experience
- Solid knowledge of GST, TDS, Companies Act compliances, and FEMA provisions
- Experience with import accounting and inventory accounting
- Strong knowledge of Indian GAAP and financial reporting
- Advanced MS Excel proficiency
- Experience with monthly closing and management reporting
Preferred:
- Experience in multinational company finance functions
- ERP systems proficiency (SAP, Oracle, Tally)
- Audit coordination experience
