Role Description The Senior Accountant role at Numetix is a full-time, remote position responsible for overseeing end-to-end accounting activities for a portfolio of professional service firm clients. Day-to-day tasks include managing general ledger entries, reconciling accounts, preparing month-end and year-end closes, and ensuring accurate, timely financial reporting.

The Senior

Accountant will review AI-generated accounting outputs, validate data quality, and adjust entries as needed to maintain compliance with accounting standards. The role also involves implementing new systems/processes, analyzing client financial performance, identifying trends in margins and cash flow, and preparing insights that support advisory discussions. This position collaborates closely with internal finance operators and client stakeholders,



responds to accounting inquiries, and helps enhance processes and controls that improve efficiency and reliability.

Qualifications

Robust general accounting and financial reporting skills, including experience with month-end close, account reconciliations, and GAAP-based statements.

Experience with financial analysis, budgeting, and cash flow management to interpret data and support advisory recommendations. Carry an advisor hat when needed.

Comfort working with accounting software such as Quickbooks, Xero, Netsuite and other cloud-based tools including new age AI-powered platforms, with the ability to validate and adjust system-generated outputs.

Knowledge of qualified services or project-based billing environments (e.g., legal, healthcare, nonprofit, property management) is highly beneficial.

Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple client deadlines, and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Strong attention to detail, sound judgment on what is material, and a disciplined approach to documentation and internal controls.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CA,CPA,MBA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification is preferred.
