About the Role -

As a Senior Automation Engineer , you act as a cross-squad technical authority for automation engineering . You govern shared automation frameworks, align automation goals across delivery streams, solve complex scaling challenges, and drive adoption of high-quality automation practices across teams. You are accountable not just for writing automation, but for ensuring automation works reliably at organisational scale .

Responsibilities -

- Design or govern modular automation frameworks adopted across multiple teams or platforms
- Define and align automation goals across squads or delivery streams
- Solve complex automation challenges related to distributed systems, async flows, dynamic environments, or CI/CD scalability
- Design, configure, and monitor test gates for high-volume pipelines (microservices, Jenkins, parallel execution)
- Build internal tools or integrations that improve execution speed, enablement, reporting, or developer feedback
- Define review standards, enforce quality practices, and enable safe test code reuse
- Work closely with architects and senior engineers to align automation with evolving system architecture




- Drive automation capability uplift through talks, training sessions, documentation, and pairing

Experiences and Skills -

- 6 - 9 years of experience in software testing and automation.
- Strong experience with automation testing tools and frameworks (e.g., WDIO, Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
- Strong programming skills in C#, TypeScript, or JavaScript.
- Utilizing LINQ, generics, extension methods, and async/await for cleaner, faster test code.
- Hands-on experience with Web-driver-IO or Selenium.
- Solid understanding of OOP concepts and design patterns.
- Proficiency in RESTful API testing using tools like Postman, REST Assured, or similar.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with clients and team members.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a rapid-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git/Bitbucket.
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
