About the Role

We are looking for an experienced SDE 2 – Android Developer to join our engineering team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Kotlin, Android SDK, Jetpack Compose, contemporary Android architecture, API integration, and application performance optimization.

You will be responsible for designing and developing high-quality Android applications, building scalable features, integrating backend services, improving application performance, and collaborating with product, design, QA, and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Android applications using Kotlin.

Build modern Android UI using Jetpack Compose and follow Material Design principles and Android UI guidelines.

Work with Android Jetpack components including Room, Hilt/Dagger, Coroutines, LiveData, and Flow.

Implement scalable application architecture using MVVM, MVI, MVP, and Clean Architecture.

Integrate RESTful APIs, GraphQL, JSON, Retrofit, and third-party libraries.

Implement local data persistence using Room, SQLite, and Shared Preferences.

Develop efficient asynchronous applications using Coroutines and threading.

Identify and resolve performance issues, memory leaks, and application stability problems.

Write and maintain unit and UI tests using JUnit and Espresso.

Follow software engineering best practices including code reviews, modularity, clean coding, and separation of concerns.

Work with CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, builds, and deployments.





Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the complete software development lifecycle.

Required Skills & Experience

3–6 years of professional experience in Android application development.

Strong proficiency in Kotlin and modern Android development practices.

Strong understanding of Android SDK and Jetpack libraries.

Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose and Material Design.

Experience with Room, Hilt/Dagger, Coroutines, LiveData, and Flow.

Strong understanding of MVVM, MVI, MVP, and Clean Architecture.

Experience integrating REST APIs, GraphQL, JSON, Retrofit, and third-party libraries.

Experience with SQLite and Shared Preferences.

Strong understanding of asynchronous programming, threading, performance tuning, and memory management.

Experience with JUnit and Espresso for unit and UI testing.

Good understanding of Git and collaborative development workflows.

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated build, test, and deployment processes.

Valuable to Have

Familiarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD).

Experience building large-scale or modular Android applications.

Strong understanding of Android performance optimization and memory leak prevention.

Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
