Role Description The School Principal is a full time, on-site leadership role based at Akshara International School in Hyderabad. The Principal will oversee the overall academic and administrative functioning of the school, including curriculum implementation, faculty supervision, and adherence to educational standards and policies.

Responsibilities include developing and executing school improvement plans, fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment, and ensuring high-quality teaching and learning across all grades, with particular focus on middle school. The Principal will collaborate with educators, support staff, and the management team to promote the school’s vision, engage with families and the wider community,



and lead initiatives that enhance student outcomes and holistic development. The role also involves managing budgets and resources effectively, monitoring performance metrics, and instituting continuous improvement in teaching practices and school operations.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong Educational Leadership skills, including experience leading school teams and managing academic and administrative operations.

Candidates should possess Curriculum Development and Education expertise, with a track record of designing, implementing, and evaluating effective curricula.

Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills to collaborate with staff, learners, families, and external stakeholders.

Candidates should possess focused Middle School experience, including understanding of age-appropriate pedagogy and learner needs in this segment.

Relevant qualifications such as a Master’s degree in Education or related field, along with formal training in school leadership or administration, are highly beneficial.

Additional skills such as strategic planning, data-driven decision making, conflict resolution, and the ability to foster an inclusive, child-centered school culture are preferred.

Prior experience as a Principal or in a senior academic leadership role within an international or progressive school environment in Hyderabad or similar contexts is an advantage.
