The client is looking for an experienced SAP BTP Developer to join a large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation programme. The consultant will be responsible for designing, developing and deploying cloud-native applications and extensions on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), leveraging modern development frameworks and SAP cloud services.

Working closely with solution architects, integration teams and SAP development teams, the consultant will deliver scalable, secure and maintainable cloud solutions while supporting the adoption of SAP BTP services across the programme.

Main Responsibilities

Design, develop and deploy cloud-native applications on SAP Business Technology Platform using the SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP).

Develop backend services, microservices and APIs using Node.js and Python.

Design, provision and manage SAP HANA Cloud databases and HDI containers.

Implement cross-container connectivity and data access across multiple SAP HANA Cloud instances.

Configure service bindings and application connectivity between SAP BTP services.

Build and deploy Multi-Target Applications (MTA) using mta.yaml.

Develop solutions leveraging SAP Document Management Service (DMS) for document storage and file management.

Configure and utilize SAP BTP services including:

Cloud Foundry

Application Logging

Cloud Logging

Auto Scaling

SAP Build Code

SAP Build Work Zone

Document Management Service (DMS)

Configure API Management through SAP BTP Destinations to enable secure integrations with SAP and external applications.

Design and implement business workflows using SAP Build Process Automation, including processes, actions, decisions, triggers and script tasks.





Collaborate with architects and development teams to design scalable and secure cloud solutions.

Ensure compliance with SAP BTP development standards, security best practices and code quality guidelines.

Produce and maintain technical documentation.

Profile

Proven experience developing cloud-native applications on SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP)

Strong expertise with SAP CAP and contemporary cloud development practices.

Solid understanding of SAP cloud architecture, security and application lifecycle management.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within international Agile teams.

Good communication and technical documentation skills.

Nice to Have

Knowledge of SAP Identity Authentication Service (IAS).

Experience with SAPUI5 and full-stack SAP application development.

Familiarity with event-driven architectures.

SAP BTP certification or other relevant SAP cloud certifications
