Role - SAP ABAP Technical Developer

Duration - 6+ Months Contract

Work Shift: Till Mid November 5:30 PM to 2:00 AM IST, Post mid November 6:30PM to 3:00 AM IST.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Technical Developer with strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA and modern ABAP development. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting SAP applications, with a strong focus on performance optimization, system integration, and scalable technical solutions.

The role requires close collaboration with functional consultants and business users to deliver high-quality SAP developments in a high-volume, enterprise setting.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain SAP ABAP solutions on SAP S/4HANA , leveraging updated table structures and best development practices.
- Develop and enhance custom SAP solutions, including WRICEF objects (Workflows, Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms).
- Perform custom development and enhancements using User Exits, BAdIs, Enhancement Framework, RFC-enabled Function Modules, BAPIs, IDOCs, ALE/EDI, ALV Reports, LSMW, BDC, SAP Scripts, Smart Forms , and other ABAP technologies.
- Translate functional specifications into detailed technical designs and technical specifications while considering performance, scalability, maintainability, and long-term sustainability.
- Design, develop, and optimize Core Data Services (CDS) Views , Virtual Data Models (VDM), SAP Gateway, and OData Services .
- Develop and maintain integrations with external applications using APIs, Microservices, SFTP , and SAP Enterprise Services.
- Perform ABAP debugging, root cause analysis, performance tuning,



and production support to ensure optimal system performance.
- Review technical developments for quality, completeness, coding standards, and technical accuracy.
- Identify gaps in standard SAP functionality and implement appropriate enhancements using SAP extensibility frameworks.
- Collaborate with business users, functional consultants, and cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, troubleshoot production issues, and deliver effective technical solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

- Strong hands-on experience with SAP ABAP development on SAP S/4HANA .
- Expertise in: ABAP Workbench Data Dictionary Reports ALV Reports BDC LSMW SAP Scripts Smart Forms IDOCs ALE/EDI RFC-enabled Function Modules BAPIs Object-Oriented ABAP (OOABAP) User Exits & BAdIs
- Strong experience in WRICEF development.
- Hands-on experience with CDS Views, SAP Gateway, OData Services, and Virtual Data Models (VDM) .
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and ABAP performance optimization skills.
- Experience with SAP Web IDE, Eclipse ADT, and Classical ABAP (SE80) development environments.
- Experience working with SAP UI5, Fiori, OData, JavaScript, CSS, XML, and JSON is desirable.
- Good understanding of SAP integration with FI/CO, SD, and MM modules.
- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming concepts and transactional database design.
- Experience developing and consuming APIs and integrating SAP with external applications.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with SAP S/4 Retail, SAP CAR, SAP PMR, or POS Data .
- Experience implementing SAP Enterprise Services .
- Exposure to high-volume transaction processing and e-Commerce environments.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
