The client is looking for an experienced SAP ABAP Developer to join a large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation programme. The consultant will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining custom developments while ensuring high quality, scalable and maintainable technical solutions aligned with SAP best practices.
Working closely with functional consultants and technical teams, the consultant will contribute to the successful delivery of new functionalities, enhancements, integrations and technical improvements across the SAP landscape.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance and maintain custom developments within the SAP S/4HANA environment.
- Translate functional specifications into robust technical designs and technical solutions.
- Collaborate closely with functional consultants throughout the development lifecycle.
- Perform unit testing, troubleshooting and performance optimization.
- Support SAP implementations, releases, upgrades and production issue resolution.
- Ensure compliance with SAP development standards, quality guidelines and best practices.
- Develop backend services supporting SAP Fiori applications where required.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation.

Profile
- Proven experience as an SAP ABAP Developer on SAP S/4HANA programmes.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within international project teams.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Experience working in Agile project environments is considered an advantage.
Nice to Have
- Experience with SAP Fiori/UI5 development.
- Knowledge of SAP BTP, ABAP Cloud and CAP.
- SAP ABAP certification or equivalent technical certification.
