Role Description The SAP ABAP Consultant with Indian HR Payroll specialization will work in office in the Greater Bhopal Area on a contract basis. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining SAP ABAP programs and enhancements that support Indian HR Payroll processes and compliance requirements. Daily responsibilities include analyzing functional specifications, creating technical designs, implementing custom reports and integrations, and resolving issues in collaboration with HR and IT stakeholders.

The consultant will participate in testing activities, performance optimization, and documentation of solutions, while ensuring adherence to coding standards and quality guidelines.



The role also includes supporting system upgrades, contributing to payroll-related process improvements, and providing knowledge transfer to internal teams.

Qualifications

15+ years strong SAP ABAP development skills with experience in ALV Reports and related reporting frameworks.

Hands-on experience with User Exits and BAPI for customizing and extending standard SAP HR Payroll functionality.

Practical knowledge of IDoc for integrations, data exchange, and interface monitoring within SAP landscapes.

Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) within ABAP for modular, scalable, and maintainable solutions.

Solid understanding of Indian HR Payroll processes, statutory requirements, and SAP HR modules (HCM/SuccessFactors integration is a plus).

Experience in full software development lifecycle: requirement analysis, technical design, development, testing, deployment, and support.

Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and document work thoroughly.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Previous experience in on-site consulting or support roles and familiarity with large enterprise SAP environments is advantageous.
