Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Safety Qualified role based in Nellore.

The Safety

Professional will oversee implementation of Takenaka’s Health & Safety Policy at project sites, ensuring compliance with all applicable industrial health, safety, and environmental regulations. Daily responsibilities include conducting site inspections, identifying hazards, implementing corrective actions, and maintaining safety documentation and reports. The role involves planning and delivering safety training for employees and subcontractors,



promoting awareness of safe work practices, and supporting incident and accident investigations to determine root causes and preventive measures.

The Safety

Professional will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to integrate safety requirements into work plans and to foster a culture of continuous safety improvement.

Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Health & Safety and Occupational Health knowledge, with experience applying safety standards in construction or industrial project environments.

Candidates should possess Environment Health and Safety (EHS) skills, including understanding of environmental regulations, risk assessment, and implementation of site-specific safety programs.

Candidates should possess Safety Training and Accident Investigation skills, including the ability to conduct toolbox talks, formal training sessions, and thorough incident analyses with corrective and preventive action plans.

Relevant academic qualifications such as a diploma or degree in safety engineering, occupational health, environmental science, or a related field, along with recognized safety certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent), are beneficial.

Additional beneficial skills include strong communication and documentation abilities, familiarity with Indian safety laws and codes, competency in using MS Office for reporting, and experience working with multi-disciplinary and multicultural project teams.
