Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Safety Officer for Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) Foundation and BOP construction activities at our Bijapur project site. The candidate will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and ensuring compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements as per project, statutory, and client standards.

The candidate must possess valid educational qualifications along with professional certifications such as Advanced Diploma in Fire & Safety, NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent Safety Certification.

Roles & Responsibilities

Safety Management

- Implement site safety policies, procedures, and client safety requirements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable HSE regulations and project safety standards.
- Monitor site activities and identify hazardous conditions and unsafe acts.

Tool Box Talk (TBT)
- Conduct daily Tool Box Talks (TBT) before commencement of work.
- Educate workers on hazards, control measures, and safe work practices.
- Maintain records and attendance of TBT sessions.

Permit to Work (PTW)
- Issue, monitor, and maintain Permit to Work (PTW) systems for critical activities.
- Ensure all permits are obtained, reviewed, and closed properly.
- Verify compliance with permit conditions at work sites.

Vehicle Inspection
- Conduct regular inspections of all site vehicles and equipment.
- Ensure operators possess valid licenses and certifications.
- Verify vehicle fitness, safety equipment availability, and compliance records.

Safety Approvals & Documentation
- Coordinate and obtain necessary approvals from clients, consultants, and project management teams.
- Maintain safety records, inspections, checklists, reports,



and statutory documents.
- Ensure timely submission of safety reports and compliance documentation.

Training & Awareness
- Conduct worker induction programs and safety awareness training.
- Organize emergency response drills and safety campaigns.
- Evaluate worker competency and identify training requirements.

Client Compliance
- Fulfill all client-mandated safety requirements, approvals, and certifications.
- Ensure compliance with client HSE standards and contractual obligations.
- Attend client safety meetings and implement corrective actions.

Incident Management
- Report, investigate, and document incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
- Recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Follow up on closure of observations and action items.

Emergency Preparedness
- Ensure availability and maintenance of firefighting equipment.
- Participate in emergency response planning and mock drills.
- Support emergency management during any incident.

Qualification Requirements

Mandatory

- Diploma/Degree in Engineering, Science, or any recognized discipline.
- Advanced Diploma in Fire & Safety Management (ADFSM) or equivalent.
- Valid NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent HSE certification.
- Knowledge of construction safety standards and statutory compliance.
- Proficiency in MS Office and safety documentation.

Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in construction projects.
- Experience in WTG Foundation, Wind Power Projects, Infrastructure, Civil Construction, or BOP works preferred.
