Key Duties
- Daily Inspections: Check factory floors, machines, and tools for damage or risks.
- Permit Control: Manage safe work permits for hot jobs, high areas, or confined spaces.
- Worker Training: Teach staff how to use safety gear (PPE) and run emergency fire drills.
- Accident Review: Look into near-misses or injuries to find the root cause and stop them from happening again.
- Law Rules: Keep records and make sure the site follows the local Factories Act and pollution rules. []
Main Skills Needed
- Degree or Diploma in Industrial Safety or Fire and Safety.
- Positive knowledge of risk assessment tools (HIRA, JSA).
- Clear communication to train workers at all levels
