Job Title - Restaurant General Manager (RGM)

Job Summary-

The Restaurant General Manager (RGM) is responsible for leading all aspects of restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, achieving sales and profitability targets, maintaining operational excellence, and developing a high-performing team. The RGM is accountable for driving business performance while ensuring compliance with company policies, food safety standards, and brand guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

Restaurant Operations

- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant to ensure smooth and efficient functioning.
- Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), operational standards, and brand guidelines.
- Monitor restaurant cleanliness, equipment maintenance, and overall ambience.
- Ensure timely opening and closing of the restaurant and effective shift management.

Sales & Business Performance

- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Drive revenue growth through local store marketing, promotional activities, and upselling initiatives.
- Analyze daily sales reports and implement action plans to improve business performance.
- Monitor key business metrics and identify opportunities to maximize profitability.

Financial Management

- Manage the restaurant's Profit & Loss (P&L;).
- Control food cost, labor cost, and operating expenses.
- Optimize manpower utilization while maintaining service standards.
- Ensure accurate cash handling, banking, and financial reconciliation.

Team Management

- Recruit,



train, coach, and develop restaurant team members.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide regular coaching and feedback.
- Prepare staff schedules and manage manpower planning.
- Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and employee engagement.
- Drive employee retention and succession planning.

Customer Experience

- Deliver outstanding customer service and ensure a memorable guest experience.
- Handle customer complaints promptly and effectively.
- Monitor customer satisfaction, online reviews, and Net Promoter Score (NPS).
- Ensure consistent product quality and service excellence.

Inventory & Supply Chain

- Manage inventory levels and ensure timely ordering of supplies.
- Minimize food wastage and inventory variance.
- Ensure proper stock rotation using FIFO/FEFO practices.
- Conduct periodic stock audits and inventory reconciliation.

Food Safety & Compliance

- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Maintain compliance with statutory regulations and company policies.
- Ensure successful completion of internal and external audits.
- Promote a safe working environment for employees and guests.





Reporting & Analytics

- Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
- Monitor KPIs and implement corrective actions to improve performance.
- Present business updates and performance reports to the Area/District Manager.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in hospitality, Hotel Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- 3-7 years of experience in the QSR, restaurant, retail, or hospitality industry.
