Role & responsibilities

1. Strong knowledge of cement chemistry, polymers, admixtures and waterproofing systems.
2. Develop innovative and cost-effective concrete admixtures meeting Indian and international standards:

- Develop low-cost and high-performance formulations.
- Scale laboratory formulations to production.

1. Conduct laboratory evaluation of admixtures on:

- Slump retention
- Initial slump
- Setting time
- Water permeability
- Rapid Chloride Penetration Test (RCPT)
- Drying Shrinkage
- Others

1. Customer Trials & • Technical Support:

- Conduct site trials
- Optimize concrete mix designs
- Resolve workability issues
- Troubleshoot compatibility problems
- Assist in product approvals

1. Production Support & • Scale-up:

- Batch trials
- Pilot production
- Process validation
- Manufacturing troubleshooting
- Monitor Batch consistency, Production yield, Product stability & • Storage performance

1. Documentation & • Quality Systems

- Prepare Product Specifications, Technical Data Sheets, Batch Manufacturing Records, SOPs, Validation Reports & • Test Certificates

- Support Sales & • Marketing with technical presentations and demonstrations.

- Maintain compliance with ISO, ASTM & • IS Codes

- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance laboratory efficiency and overall product quality.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of test results, procedures, and findings.

Record if any deviations from quality standards and Investigations when necessary.

- Collect samples from different stages of the production process and perform visual inspections to ensure adherence to quality standards. Checking of RM/PM/FG as per QC specifications.





- Develop and Implement quality control procedures and protocols to monitor the manufacturing process, identifying and rectifying issues promptly.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant safety guidelines and protocols during all stages of analysis and testing.
- Maintain formulation records and laboratory notebooks.

1. Innovation & • Market Intelligence

- Monitor New admixture chemistries, Sustainable concrete technologies, Green concrete solutions, Carbon-reduction initiatives & • Competitor products

- Conduct literature reviews and monitor market trends.
- Conduct Competitive benchmarking, Patent/literature reviews & • Technical presentations

1. Raw Material Development & • Vendor Qualification

- Conduct Vendor qualification, Alternate source approval & • Cost-benefit analysis

1. Visit customer sites for troubleshooting and product approvals.

- Identify opportunities for sustainable and high-performance products.
- File technical innovations or process improvements where applicable.

- Assist regulatory compliance for environmental and safety requirements.
- Develop accelerated testing methods where feasible.
- Support training of production and sales teams on current products.

- Maintain confidentiality of formulations and intellectual property.

Preferred candidate profile

- B.E./B.Tech in Chemical Engineering or M.Sc. in Chemistry (Organic, Analytical, Industrial, or Applied Chemistry).

- 1 - 2 years of R&D; experience in concrete admixtures along with other building material products. Freshers with relevant qualifications and a strong academic foundation in construction chemicals are also welcome to apply.
- Willingness to travel for customer site trials, product demonstrations, and technical support.
