Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Radiologist role based at Ovum Hospitals in Bengaluru East. The Radiologist will perform and interpret a wide range of diagnostic imaging studies, including X-rays, ultrasounds, CT scans, MRI, and mammography, in support of women’s and children’s health.
Responsibilities include reviewing imaging requests, ensuring appropriate protocols, generating accurate and timely reports, and discussing findings with referring clinicians and multidisciplinary teams. The role involves supervising imaging procedures, ensuring radiation safety and quality standards,
and supporting emergency and inpatient imaging needs as required. The Radiologist will also contribute to clinical decision-making, patient counseling related to imaging results, and continuous improvement of imaging services.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong foundational knowledge and clinical skills in Medicine and Radiology.
- Candidates should possess specialized expertise in Medical Imaging and Mammography for women and child healthcare.
- Candidates should possess relevant skills in Nuclear Medicine where applicable to diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Recognized medical degree (MBBS) and postgraduate qualification in Radiology (MD/DNB or equivalent), with valid registration from the appropriate medical council.
- Demonstrated experience in diagnostic imaging within hospital settings, preferably in women and child specialty care.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, maintain explicit documentation, and communicate findings effectively to clinicians and patients.
- Commitment to patient safety, ethical medical practice, continuous learning, and adherence to national and international imaging guidelines.
- Comfort with using digital radiology systems, PACS, and hospital information systems; familiarity with quality assurance and radiation safety protocols.
