We are looking for a Quality Engineer with experience in switchgear/heavy fabrication. The role involves vendor inspections, quality checks, and expediting manufacturing activities to ensure timely delivery and compliance with standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Visit vendor works to assess progress, quality, and expedite jobs
- Perform welding inspections and ensure adherence to WPS/PQR
- Conduct dimensional verification as per drawings
- Inspect galvanizing quality (coating thickness, finish, defects)
- Witness and review NDT (UT, RT, MPT, DPT)
- Prepare inspection reports and ensure closure of non-conformances
Requirements:
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
- Knowledge of welding, fabrication, galvanizing, and NDT
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Willingness to travel to vendor locations
Preferred: Experience in switchgear or structural fabrication industry
