We manufacture railway track products for Indian Railways and require a dedicated professional to manage all stages of third-party and railway inspections — from raw material to final dispatch — and to liaise directly with railway inspecting officials, RDSO, and Railway Board representatives.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and be present for raw material inspection, in-process inspection, and final inspection before dispatch
Act as the primary point of contact for railway inspectors, RDSO officials, and Railway Board authorities during plant visits and super-checks
Prepare and maintain all inspection-related documentation (inspection call letters, test certificates, QAP compliance records, MTCs, etc.)
Ensure production processes align with applicable railway specifications and standards
Coordinate internally between production, QC, and dispatch teams to keep inspection schedules on track
Handle inspection-related correspondence and follow-ups professionally and promptly
Maintain records of past inspections, observations, and corrective actions taken
Required Skills & Qualifications
Diploma/B.Tech in Mechanical/Metallurgical/Production Engineering (preferred)
Prior experience in a railway vendor unit, forging/casting industry, or similar regulated manufacturing environment
Working knowledge of railway inspection procedures, RDSO specifications, and QAP requirements
Strong communication skills — confident and professional in dealing with government/railway officials
Good documentation and record-keeping discipline
Ability to handle pressure during surprise inspections/super-checks
Preferred
Prior direct experience interfacing with RITES/RDSO/Railway Board inspectors
Familiarity with IS/RDSO standards relevant to track fittings (ERC, rail clips, etc.)
Experience: 3–8 years (versatile based on candidate quality)
