Role Description The QUALITY CONTROL-ASSISTANT MANAGER (FABRICATION DIVISION) is a full-time, on-site role based in Coimbatore. This position is responsible for overseeing quality checks on fabricated components, monitoring production processes, and ensuring compliance with internal and external quality standards. Day-to-day activities include implementing and updating quality control procedures, reviewing inspection reports, analyzing defects, coordinating corrective and preventive actions, and maintaining documentation for audits.

The role involves close collaboration with production, engineering, and procurement teams to resolve quality issues, optimize fabrication processes, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Manager will also train and guide quality inspectors, prepare regular performance and compliance reports, and support customer and third-party inspections as required. Qualifications

Solid understanding of quality control principles, standards, and best practices in metal fabrication or manufacturing.

Experience with inspection methods, measurement tools, and documentation systems used in fabrication quality assurance.

Knowledge of process improvement methodologies (such as lean, 5S, or root cause analysis) and corrective action planning.

Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and material standards.

Solid organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

Effective communication and teamwork skills for coordinating with production, engineering, and vendors.

Prior experience in a supervisory or assistant manager role within a fabrication or heavy engineering environment is preferred.

Relevant technical qualification such as a diploma or degree in mechanical engineering, metallurgy, or a related field.

Familiarity with safety regulations, quality management systems (e.g., ISO), and audit requirements.

Minimum 5 years of experience.
