About The Role We are seeking an experienced IPDRG QA (Quality Analyst) to join our dynamic team at Med-Metrix. In this critical role, you will be responsible for conducting detailed inpatient coding audits, verifying the accuracy of ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and MS-DRG coding assignments. Your expertise will ensure that our coding processes align with industry standards and client-specific requirements, thereby maintaining the highest levels of quality and compliance.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inpatient coding audits, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to support continuous quality improvement initiatives within our organization.

Qualifications 4 to 10 years of professional experience in IPDRG quality auditing or related fields, with at least 1 year dedicated to auditing activities.

CCS (Certified Coding Specialist) certification is mandatory, demonstrating your proficiency in coding standards and practices.

Extensive knowledge of ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and MS-DRG methodology is essential for accurate auditing and validation.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify documentation gaps and provide actionable feedback.

Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with coding teams and stakeholders.





Detail-oriented with a focus on maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.

Responsibilities Perform comprehensive quality audits of inpatient DRG coding to ensure accuracy and adherence to regulatory guidelines.

Review and validate ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and MS-DRG code assignments, identifying discrepancies and areas for improvement.

Ensure all coding activities comply with industry standards, client-specific requirements, and internal quality benchmarks.

Identify documentation gaps during audits and provide constructive feedback to coding teams for continuous improvement.

Support coder development through targeted training and guidance based on audit findings.

Conduct regular quality reviews and participate in calibration sessions to maintain consistency across audits.

Meet and exceed quality and productivity expectations, contributing to the overall efficiency of the department.

Maintain detailed audit records, prepare reports, and communicate findings effectively to stakeholders.
