Role Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented QA Developer with strong manual testing skills and a good understanding of test automation. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our software applications.

The QA Developer will collaborate with developers, product teams, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, create and execute test cases, identify defects, and contribute to automation initiatives. The ideal candidate should have a quality-first mindset, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

Review business and technical requirements to identify test scenarios.

Prepare and maintain test plans, test cases, test data, and test reports.

Perform functional, regression, integration, system, smoke, sanity, and exploratory testing.

Test web, mobile, and API-based applications as required.

Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects through resolution.





Reproduce issues and work closely with developers to support root-cause analysis.

Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts.

Contribute to improving automation frameworks and overall test coverage.

Perform basic database validation using SQL queries.

Participate in Agile ceremonies, requirement discussions, and release-planning activities.

Support release validation and ensure that applications meet defined quality standards.

Continuously improve testing processes, tools, and practices.

Qualifications

2–4 years of professional experience in software quality assurance.

Strong knowledge of manual testing concepts and the Software Testing Life Cycle.

Experience in functional, regression, integration, system, and exploratory testing.

Understanding of test-automation concepts and hands-on experience with tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.

Familiarity with a programming language such as Java, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python.

Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or REST Assured.

Basic knowledge of databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, or Redis.

Ability to write and execute basic SQL queries for data validation.

Familiarity with Git or another version-control system.

Experience with defect-tracking and test-management tools such as Jira.

Understanding of Agile development methodologies.

Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions is an advantage.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
