About the Team:

The National Narratives team at Varahe plays a pivotal role in shaping political discourse by building compelling, research-backed narratives that align with the broader strategic vision of campaigns. The team works at the intersection of research, strategy, content, and communication to craft impactful national-level messaging rooted in socio-political realities, public sentiment, and cultural context.

What Would This Role Entail?

- Conducting in-depth research on national socio-political developments, governance issues, public policy trends, and electoral landscapes.
- Identifying emerging narratives, voter sentiments, and key political themes to support campaign communication.
- Developing structured narrative frameworks and insight-driven briefs for content, design, and digital teams.
- Tracking national media, public discourse, and opposition narratives across mainstream and digital platforms.




- Supporting leadership communication through speech inputs, talking points, and rapid response documents.
- Collaborating with field teams, research units, and strategy stakeholders to capture real-time ground insights and public sentiment.
- Assisting in building long-term thematic narratives that can shape public perception and campaign positioning.

Necessary Qualifications/Skills:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Political Science, Journalism, Sociology, Public Policy, Mass Communication, or a related field.
- Strong command over Hindi and English, with fluency in the regional language of the target state.
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in political research, policy analysis, political communication, journalism, or related domains.
- Strong writing and storytelling ability with the skill to synthesize complex information into concise and impactful narratives.
- Strong analytical mindset with familiarity in primary and secondary research methodologies.
- Ability to work in a rapid-paced and evolving political environment with tight deadlines.

Good to Have Skills:

- Prior experience in political campaigns, issue advocacy, or strategic communication.
- Understanding of electoral behavior, public opinion trends, governance discourse, and identity politics.
- Experience in drafting speeches, policy notes, or communication briefs.
- Familiarity with tools like Google Sheets, PowerPoint, and media monitoring platforms.
- Ability to conduct qualitative interviews, stakeholder conversations, and discourse analysis.
