Role Description The Purchase Engineer will manage end-to-end procurement activities for aluminium profiles, glass systems, hardware, and related materials required for doors, windows, and skylights. Day-to-day work includes identifying and evaluating suppliers, preparing and issuing purchase orders, negotiating prices and terms, and ensuring timely delivery aligned with project schedules. The role involves coordinating closely with design, production, and project teams to forecast material requirements, maintain optimal inventory levels, and resolve supply-related issues.

Engineer will also track vendor performance, monitor quality compliance,



and support cost optimization initiatives without compromising product standards. This is a full-time, in office role based in Mumbai.

Qualifications

Strong procurement and vendor management skills, including supplier evaluation, negotiation, and purchase order management.

Knowledge of engineering materials and components, preferably aluminium systems, glass, architectural hardware, and building products.

Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and bills of materials to determine accurate purchasing requirements.

Experience with inventory control, cost analysis, and basic budgeting or cost optimization in an engineering or manufacturing environment.

Proficiency in MS Excel and purchasing or ERP software for tracking orders, deliveries, and vendor performance.

Excellent communication and coordination skills to work effectively with design, production, and project teams.

Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related technical field.

Prior experience in construction, fenestration, façade, or building materials industry is an advantage.

Ability to work on-site in Mumbai, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and maintain a detail-oriented, organized approach.
