But what if we swapped the chocolate for pumpkin and layered it on a blondie base?

Enter: Pumpkin French Silk Blondie Bars. This twist on the 1950s recipe combines the best of both worlds — rich, buttery blondies topped with a silky pumpkin filling and a blanket of whipped cream. This dessert is perfect for fall, combining the cozy flavors of pumpkin and spice with the decadent texture of French silk.

It's like a warm hug from an old cardigan, but it just so happens to be your favorite dessert. Plus, it’s a great way to use that can of pumpkin purèe that’s sitting in your pantry. These bars start with a easy blondie base, which is studded with white chocolate chips.

The pumpkin filling is light and airy, thanks to the addition of whipped cream, and it's all topped off with a cloud of even more sweetened whipped cream. You will need an eight-inch square baking pan and a stand mixer to make this silky, handheld treat. If you don’t have a stand mixer, an electric hand-mixer will do the trick.

What makes this treat so special is its fluffy texture,



which is hard to achieve by hand. Despite the fact that these bars have three layers, they only get baked once! Plus, they can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator to serve at fall gatherings or for a special weeknight treat.
