About us
We design and build special purpose machines for automotive manufacturing, and we do the whole of it ourselves, from concept through build and commissioning to long-term support. Our customers are tier-one and tier-two suppliers across the National Capital Region.
The work sits where mechanical engineering meets modern inspection technology. Our machines take on tasks that have traditionally rested on the human eye, sustained across a full shift, and they do that work at line rate. We would rather describe the specifics in conversation than in a public advertisement, and we will be entirely open with you once we meet.
We are a small and deliberately technical team. There is no layer between the person doing the work and the person deciding what the work should be.
The role
We are looking for a Project Manager who has built special purpose machines and put them into automotive plants, and who wants to do that again with a far more capable set of eyes on the machine.
You will own the journey of a machine from purchase order to a signed acceptance certificate on the customer's floor. That means the site survey before we build, the coordination while we build, the factory testing before we dispatch, the commissioning once we arrive, and the relationship that carries on afterwards. When a machine works on a customer's line, it will be because of what you did. When it does not, you will be the person who finds out why.
We should be straightforward about the shape of this role. You will manage projects rather than people, at least to begin with. You will hold the schedule, the vendors, the customer and the acceptance criteria, and you will also be the person with a laptop open beside the panel at eleven at night during commissioning week. As we grow, technicians and junior engineers will come under you, and the person in this seat will be the one who builds that team.
You will report directly to the Principal Scientist.
What you will do
Own the project plan for each machine, holding the schedule from purchase order through to acceptance, and flagging slippage early rather than late
Run site surveys ahead of order, covering floor plan, services, access route, material flow and takt, and translate what you see into a build specification our team can work against
Coordinate hardware procurement and vendor follow-up across mechanical fabrication, conveyors, pneumatics, controls, cameras and optics
Lead in-house assembly, factory acceptance testing and pre-dispatch validation, and run the customer buy off at our works
Own installation and commissioning at customer sites, including calibration verification, safety circuit validation and throughput demonstration against the agreed acceptance criteria
Plan installations around the customer's production reality, which frequently means shutdown windows, weekends and night shifts
Support golden-sample imaging and recipe configuration alongside our vision team, so that what leaves our floor is already tuned for the parts it will meet
Manage the customer relationship through delivery, keeping their engineering and quality teams informed and their expectations aligned with what was agreed in the proposal
Deliver operator and maintenance training at handover, and prepare as-built schematics, I/O schedules, safety validation files and standard operating procedures
Serve as the first point of contact for customers under warranty and annual maintenance contracts, resolving remotely where possible and attending site where it is not
Carry what you learn on the floor back into our engineering, so the next machine is better than the last
Who we are looking for
Essential
Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, Electronics or Instrumentation engineering
Three to seven years building special purpose machines, assembly stations, test rigs or automated inspection cells
Machines you personally commissioned inside an automotive plant, whether at an OEM or a tier-one or tier-two supplier. This is the single condition we will not relax
Working command of PLC logic, HMI configuration, sensors, pneumatics, servo or stepper motion and control panel wiring, sufficient to read a schematic and find a fault under time pressure
Practical familiarity with cycle time and takt calculation, poka-yoke thinking, safety category assessment and the acceptance protocols automotive customers actually run The ability to hold a schedule and a vendor list without being chased, since nobody here will chase you
Willingness to travel across Haryana and Rajasthan, with occasional travel further afield
Fluent Hindi and working English, both spoken and written
Valued
Exposure to machine vision, industrial cameras, lighting or lens selection.
We will teach you the rest, and teaching this well is something we are good at
Experience with collaborative robots, 3D scanners or metrology equipment
Familiarity with IATF 16949 quality systems, PFMEA and how customer audits actually run
Comfort writing clear documentation, since our customers keep what we hand them for years
What matters most
Two things sit at the centre of how we work, and it is fair to say them plainly before you apply.
The first is that we solve in software wherever software can solve. Our machines handle eight different part numbers on one belt with no fixture, no nest, no tooling and no changeover, because recognition and recipe selection happen in the vision system. If your instinct on reading that is to reach for a mechanical solution, this will be an uncomfortable place to work. If your instinct is curiosity about how far that idea can be pushed, you will enjoy it here a excellent deal.
The second is that we would rather have someone honest about what they do not know than someone polished. Our machines go onto lines where a wrong answer costs a customer real money, so the ability to flag a problem early carries more weight here than the ability to present well.
What we offer A competitive fixed salary, discussed openly at first conversation and set against your experience
Participation in the company's employee ownership pool after a qualifying period
Full ownership of your machines, with your name on the acceptance certificate and your presence in the room
Deep working exposure to AI vision, 3D scanning and robotics, in a field where genuine practitioners remain rare in India
We are candid about the trade. Our fixed salaries sit below what a large multinational integrator would pay.
What we offer against that is real ownership, a stake in what we build together, and a technical grounding that will stay with you for the rest of your career.
Location and travel
Based at our Gurugram facility, with regular travel to customer sites across the NCR manufacturing belt. Expect roughly one week in three at customer locations during active commissioning phases.
How to apply
Please write to us with your résumé and a short note covering two things: a machine you commissioned inside an automotive plant and what went wrong with it, and a moment when a customer's stated requirement turned out to be the wrong requirement.
We read every application ourselves and we reply to every one.
