Position Overview

The University is seeking a highly qualified, experienced, and research-oriented Professor in Psychology who will provide academic leadership in teaching, research, curriculum development, student mentoring, and institutional development in accordance with UGC regulations and University policies. Roles & Responsibilities:

Teach undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral courses in Psychology and allied areas.

Develop, review, and update curriculum in accordance with UGC and NEP guidelines.

Guide and supervise M.Phil. (where applicable) and Ph.D. scholars.

Publish high-quality research papers in UGC CARE-listed, Scopus, and Web of Science-indexed journals.

Lead funded research projects, consultancy assignments, and interdisciplinary research initiatives.

Contribute to academic planning, Board of Studies (BoS), Academic Council, and other statutory committees.

Organize and participate in seminars, conferences, workshops, Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs), and extension activities.





Mentor students for academic excellence, research, and career development.

Support NAAC, NBA, NIRF, and other accreditation and quality assurance initiatives.

Undertake academic and administrative responsibilities assigned by the University.

Eligibility

Criteria (As per UGC Norms):

Ph.D. in Psychology from a recognized university (mandatory).

The Ph.D. degree should have been awarded at least 05years prior to the date of application.

Minimum 10+ years of teaching and/or research experience in a University, College, or Accredited Research Institution/Industry.

At least 5 years of experience at the level of Associate Professor.

A solid record of high-quality research publications, books, sponsored research projects, patents (where applicable), and successful guidance of Ph.D. scholars.

Fulfilment of all UGC-prescribed eligibility criteria, including the required Academic/Research Score, wherever applicable.

Excellent subject knowledge and teaching proficiency in Psychology.

Strong research orientation with interdisciplinary perspective.

Effective academic leadership and mentoring abilities.

Excellent communication, presentation, and academic writing skills.
