Job Summary The Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising daily production activities in the Transformer Radiators manufacturing unit. The role ensures production targets are achieved while maintaining quality standards, safety compliance, optimum manpower utilization, and machine efficiency. The Production Supervisor coordinates with Production Planning, Quality, Maintenance, and Stores departments to ensure smooth production flow.

Key Responsibilities Production Planning & Execution

- Supervise daily production activities as per the production plan.
- Ensure production targets are achieved within the scheduled time.
- Monitor production processes to minimize downtime and improve productivity.
- Allocate manpower effectively across production lines.
- Ensure timely completion of work orders.

Process Supervision
- Supervise manufacturing operations including:

- Sheet cutting

- Pressing

- Roll forming

- Spot welding

- Seam welding

- CO₂/MIG/TIG welding

- Assembly

- Hydraulic pressure testing

- Leak testing

- Surface preparation

- Painting
- Final inspection and dispatch preparation
- Ensure adherence to approved manufacturing processes and work instructions.

Quality Control




- Ensure products comply with customer specifications and quality standards.
- Coordinate with the Quality Department for inspections and corrective actions.
- Reduce rejection, rework, and scrap through continuous process monitoring.
- Ensure proper documentation of quality records.

Manpower Management
- Supervise operators, welders, helpers, and contract workers.
- Maintain discipline and adherence to company policies.
- Train current employees on production methods and safety practices.
- Evaluate employee performance and recommend skill development.

Machine & Equipment Management
- Monitor machine performance and ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed.
- Coordinate with the Maintenance Department for breakdowns and repairs.
- Ensure optimum utilization of machinery and production equipment.

Safety & Housekeeping
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and PPE requirements.
- Conduct regular safety checks within the production area.
- Maintain 5S and good housekeeping standards.
