Company Overview Our client is a Manufacturing leader in off-road Electric Mobility vehicles.

Position Overview We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Head of Procurement to lead purchasing and supplier development in Bengaluru. You will own end-to-end sourcing for our off-road electric mobility vehicles, building a robust supplier base for rugged mechanical components. You will drive cost-optimization, mitigate supply risks, and establish scalable procurement processes to support our rapid growth.

Responsibilities Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for critical components.

Map the domestic and global supplier landscape, lead RFI/RFP/RFQ processes, and negotiate commercial terms, pricing, and long-term supply contracts.

Drive Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) reduction initiatives, focusing on ZBC (Zero-Based Costing), Should-Cost analysis, and tooling investments.

Partner closely with R&D; and engineering teams during the prototype and DFx (Design for Manufacturing) stages to ensure parts are feasible and cost-effective.





Perform risk assessments for single-sourced components and lead supplier audits to ensure compliance with automotive quality standards.

Set up and manage ERP/MRP systems, track key functional metrics (KPIs), and manage the procurement budget.

Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing procurement team capable of scaling alongside the company's production targets.

Skills & Experience 10 to 15+ years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, and supply chain, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.Industry

Proven track record in the Electric Vehicle (EV), automotive, or heavy engineering sectors.

Experience specifically with off-road, ruggedized, or custom mobility products is a distinct advantage.

Deep understanding of Automotive, and mechanical commodities.

Exceptional negotiation and contract management skills, coupled with proficiency in data analysis and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or MS Dynamics).

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. An MBA or a specialized degree in Supply Chain Management or Operations is highly preferred.
