Position: Plant Head – Food Manufacturing

Location: Changodar, Ahmedabad

Industry: Food Manufacturing / FMCG

Experience: 6 years in food manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a Plant Head or Senior Production Leadership role.

Education

- MBA in Operations Management (Mandatory)
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Production, Industrial, Food Technology, or a related engineering discipline preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end plant operations, including Production, Quality, Maintenance, Warehouse, and Dispatch.
- Ensure production targets are achieved while maintaining quality and food safety standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce manufacturing costs.
- Implement and monitor GMP, HACCP, FSSAI, ISO 22000, and other food safety standards.
- Optimize manpower utilization and improve operational efficiency.
- Prepare production plans in coordination with Sales, Purchase, and Supply Chain teams.
- Monitor plant KPIs such as OEE, wastage, downtime, yield, and production efficiency.
- Ensure preventive maintenance of machinery and minimize breakdowns.
- Manage statutory compliance related to factory operations.




- Develop and mentor production teams and department heads.
- Ensure workplace safety and compliance with all company policies.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of food manufacturing processes.
- Advanced Production Planning and Operations Management.
- Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma concepts.
- ERP systems (SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, etc.).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and MIS reporting.
- Robust leadership and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication and people management skills.
