Job Summary

AKSQubit Technologies is looking for 2 PCB Design & Assembly Engineers to join our team. The role involves basic PCB design, PCB assembly, soldering, testing, troubleshooting, inspection, and rework of electronic assemblies.

This position is ideal for freshers or candidates with up to 1 year of experience who have a strong foundation in electronics and are interested in hands-on PCB design and electronics manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in designing and modifying PCB layouts and schematics based on product requirements.
- Perform basic component placement, routing, footprint selection, and PCB layout activities.
- Work with PCB design software such as KiCad, Altium Designer, Eagle, OrCAD, or similar tools.
- Read and understand circuit diagrams, schematics, PCB layouts, and BOMs.
- Prepare and maintain BOMs, component details, PCB design files, and related documentation.
- Assemble and solder SMD/SMT and Through-Hole (THT) components on PCBs.
- Perform soldering, desoldering, component replacement, and basic PCB rework.
- Identify electronic components including resistors, capacitors, diodes, transistors, ICs, connectors, and other components.
- Inspect PCBs for correct component placement, polarity, solder joints, shorts, open connections, and other defects.
- Perform basic PCB testing and troubleshooting using a digital multimeter and other testing equipment.
- Identify and troubleshoot basic electrical, PCB design, and assembly-related faults.
- Assist with prototype PCB assembly, testing, and product development activities.




- Follow proper ESD handling and safety procedures while working with electronic components.
- Maintain assembly, inspection, testing, and rework records.
- Coordinate with R&D;, production, and quality teams to resolve PCB design and assembly issues.
- Follow company procedures, quality standards, and work instructions.
- Support continuous improvement in PCB design, assembly, testing, and manufacturing processes.

Core Competencies Candidates should demonstrate basic competency in:

- Basic Electronics: Understanding of resistors, capacitors, diodes, transistors, ICs, connectors, voltage, current, and basic circuits.
- Circuit & Schematic Reading: Ability to understand circuit diagrams, schematics, and component connections.
- PCB Design: Basic knowledge of PCB layout, component placement, routing, PCB layers, and footprints.
- PCB Design Software: Familiarity with at least one PCB design tool such as KiCad, Altium, Eagle, OrCAD, or similar.
- PCB Assembly: Knowledge of SMD/SMT and THT component assembly.
- Soldering & Rework: Basic soldering, desoldering, component replacement, and PCB rework skills.
- BOM Understanding: Ability to read and understand component values, part numbers, quantities, and BOMs.
- PCB Inspection: Ability to identify incorrect component placement, polarity issues, soldering defects, shorts, and open connections.
- Testing & Troubleshooting: Basic ability to use a multimeter and troubleshoot PCB/electrical faults.
- ESD & Safety:



Understanding of ESD precautions and protected handling of electronic components.
- Problem Solving: Ability to identify technical issues and assist in finding practical solutions.
- Attention to Detail: Accuracy in PCB design, component identification, assembly, inspection, and documentation.

Required Skills

- Basic knowledge of electronics and electrical circuits.
- Understanding of PCB design and assembly processes.
- Familiarity with SMD and Through-Hole components.
- Basic soldering and rework skills.
- Ability to read circuit diagrams, schematics, PCB layouts, and BOMs.
- Familiarity with at least one PCB design software.
- Familiarity with using a digital multimeter.
- Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn and work in a hands-on technical environment.

Good to Have

- Basic understanding of Gerber files and PCB manufacturing outputs.
- Awareness of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
- Academic projects or internship experience involving PCB design or electronics.
- Basic knowledge of embedded systems or electronic product development.

Educational Qualification Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in:

- Electronics & Communication Engineering
- Electrical & Electronics Engineering
- Electronics Engineering
- Instrumentation Engineering
- Or a related technical field

Experience 0–1 years

Freshers with relevant academic projects, internships, or hands-on PCB design and assembly experience are encouraged to apply.
